THE CROSSROADS
Welcome to the first stop on our journey across Kansas City… the Crossroads Arts District!
Originally a warehouse district, this area has flourished in recent years to a vibrant landscape rich with arts studios, restaurants, and architecture firms. We will be visiting this area pretty frequently during our conference with our firm tours, sessions, keynotes, and even a special gathering during First Fridays!
Coming early? Make sure to grab some espresso from Messenger Coffee, grab a bite to eat at Mildred’s, and stop on by Moshe Safdie’s Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

WESTPORT
Welcome to the second stop on our journey across Kansas City… Midtown and Westport!
Originally Westport Landing, one of the area’s first settlements, this district has evolved into one of Kansas City’s best bar districts. Surrounding Westport is Midtown, which includes a beautiful mix of historic neighborhoods, beautiful streetscapes, and world-renowned art museums.
Coming early? Make sure to grab a latte from Broadway Cafe, grab a bite to eat at Char Bar, and visit Steven Holl’s addition to the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art.

CROWN CENTER
Welcome to the third stop on our journey across Kansas City… the Crown Center!
Built in the 1960’s as the headquarters for the Hallmark Cards Company, Crown Center is KC’s brutalist icon home to a shopping center, office buildings, and more. It is also adjacent to two Kansas City landmarks with Union Station and the Liberty Memorial. It will also be home base for our Conference with our Hotel.
Coming early? Make sure to grab some coffee at Parisi Coffee in Union Station, take trip on the Ferris Wheel, and stop on by the National World War I Memorial and Museum.

RIVER MARKET
Welcome to the fourth stop on our journey across Kansas City… the River Market!
This is where Kansas City started as a bustling boom-town off the banks of the Missouri River. Since it’s founding as the Town of Kansas in 1850, this area has evolved drastically. In the present, it is now home to an array of shops and stalls which come to life every Saturday morning during the Farmer’s Market.
Coming early? Make sure to grab a drink from City Market Coffee, a bite to eat at Blue Nile Cafe, and stop on by the Steamboat Arabia Museum home to the wreckage of the 1800’s River Boat.
